The lobby, restaurant and bar of the hotel were renovated with the local feeling of Amsterdam. Mercure hotels all around the world always represent the location that the guest is visiting. In this hotel the water in the canals and the specific houses of Amsterdam were used to express this location. A shoal of stainless steel fishes highlighted the round bar, as a reference to the famous Dutch herring. The curved walls were made to create cosy corners to sit down and have lunch or dinner.
