Residence Inn The Hague

Turning an office building from the 1990s into a hotel is a challenge that we fully accepted when Cycas Hospitality asked our team. Especially if it is a building with its own characteristic architecture. For the Muzentoren in The Hague, we designed a dual-brand Hotel for the brands Moxy and Residence Inn by Marriott.
The lower floors, which offer the most space for the rooms, are furnished for the extended stay brand “Residence Inn”, with studios and apartments with a separate bedroom.
For the top half of the building we designed a Moxy Hotel, with a much younger target group and an average of 1 to 2 nights. Moxy was designed in The Hague as “city chic”, in which the character of The Hague and the architecture of the building reinforce each other. Graphic prints are a reference to the work of M.C. Escher. The design was ready for construction, but due to market conditions, the project was not carried out.
